A Texas woman helped a couple find their lost wedding band — and she still has several more to reunite with their owners.
After one of her friends discovered five men’s wedding bands in the sand during a recent visit to South Padre Island, Andrea Wright took to social media in hopes of tracking down their original owners.
“A local metal detector friend has found various types of men’s wedding bands on the city and county beaches of SPI,” she wrote on Facebook. “If you’re missing one, please contact me and describe it. We are trying to get them to their rightful owners!”

While the rings were found in various locations on the beach, Wright was determined to find who they belonged to, noting that they simply have too much meaning to keep for herself.
“If they can describe the pattern, the material, the size — if it’s light or heavy, what color — then we can definitely get it back,” she told local outlet KRGV, revealing that she’s already gotten a few responses from hopeful couples.
Four days later, Wright shared in an update that she successfully reunited a happy man with his lost jewelry.

“After making a post on Facebook … Jonathan contacted me and it was a match,” she wrote alongside several photos of Jonathan and his husband, who claimed to have lost the ring a month ago.

“We came home and we were looking for the ring,” he said in a video shared to Wright’s social media. “We didn’t have it with us.”
To prove that the ring was truly his, Jonathan recalled that there were two stones missing from his wedding band and showed Wright the ring that his husband wore on a chain around his neck — which was identical to the one found on the beach.
Once he and his husband were reunited with the sentimental piece of jewelry, Jonathan repeatedly said, “Thank you so much,” before pulling Wright into a warm embrace.
“So happy to have them reunited with their ring,” Wright wrote after the sweet reunion.
