The Sicilian Butcher — a restaurant chain known for its build-your-own meatballs and five-foot charcuterie boards — is opening its first San Antonio location on Friday, Nov. 21.
Located at 5546 N. Loop 1604 West, the new dining spot joins a growing restaurant hub near the outer loop’s interchange with I-10. Neighboring eateries include the city’s second Fogo de Chao location along with Pappadeux and Rock and Brews.Â
Husband-and-wife duo Joey and Cristina Maggiore launched the Sicilian Butcher in Phoenix in 2017, serving up Sicilian-inspired pastas, bruschetta boards and hearty pizzas. It’s since expanded to six locations. The Alamo City store will be its third in Texas.
The San Antonio restaurant also will have a bakery, dubbed The Sicilian Baker, which offers rotating gelato flavors, hand-filled cannoli, and traditional Italian pastries such as sfogliatelle. In keeping with the build-your-own meatball theme on The Sicilian Butcher menu, diners can opt to build their own cannoli.
Drinks-wise, The Sicilian Butcher offers a varied selection of wines from California, Washington, France and Italy along with a cocktail menu featuring on-brand beverages such as the Statue of David, the Mediterranean Manhattan and Signore Hugo.Â
