A stack of unused diapers can sit in a closet for months, but they can mean the difference between stability and stress for many Fort Worth families.
Movers for Moms is collecting diapers through Mother’s Day weekend to restock the Junior League of Fort Worth’s diaper bank. The campaign is led locally by the Fort Worth-area Two Men and a Truck franchises.
“There are always going to be moms in need,” said Hayli Gage, a general manager for a Two Men and a Truck location in Fort Worth. “The more that people find out the Junior League of Fort Worth has the resources available, the demand is only going to go up.”

Diapers are not covered by most federal aid programs, according to the National Diaper Bank Network. Nearly half of families with young children struggle to afford enough of them.
“There’s continuously going to be a need for diapers and wipes,” said Sierra Guerra, marketing and recruiting coordinator for Two Men and a Truck.
The Junior League distributes the donations through periodic events across Fort Worth, where families line up and receive supplies in bulk.
For organizers, the challenge is making participation simple enough that people actually follow through and collect their needed resources, Gage said.
”Most people want to contribute to charity,” she said. “But there’s so much going on mentally and emotionally in a mom’s life that it becomes just one more thing to have to remember.”
She attributes the partnerships with Fit4Mom and Global Race Management for helping to remove the friction and for providing more exposure for the campaign.
Instead of asking families to seek out donation drop-off points only, organizers also have placed collection boxes directly inside existing events, particularly those designed for mothers.

“You signed up for a 5K, you’re already coming,” Gage said. “You probably have extra diapers so just bring them with you.”
Melissa Dodd, owner of Fit4Mom Keller-Southlake, said partnering with the diaper drive is a natural extension of her business’s work.
“We’re all moms,” Dodd said. “When we get to combine forces and do something within the community that changes another mother’s life, that’s where the bridge meets for us.”
