EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Thursday, Borderland! Get ready for a warm weekend and workweek with a majority of the forecast in the 90s. 

Increasing clouds overnight can be expected for Thursday night. Winds will be light blowing from the northeast around 5-10 mph. There’s a chance to see some brief showers starting around 8:30 p.m. through the early morning hours of Friday. After that, the area will be drying out through next week.

Friday’s high will be in the upper 80s with mostly sunny skies. Overall, the day will be nice and warm with light winds blowing from the northwest 5-10 mph. The evening will be calm with mostly clear skies and a low in the low 60s. 

Saturday is shaping up pretty nice as well with a high in the low 90s and plenty of sunshine. Winds will be calm coming from the southwest. Overnight low will be significantly warmer in the upper 60s with mostly clear skies. 

Mother’s Day is looking to be a warm one with a high in the low 90s. Throughout the day anticipate mostly sunny skies and calm winds in the morning and early afternoon. The overnight low is still going to be above average in the upper 60s but the wind will pick up blowing around 10-20 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph. 

Winds carry over into the workweek with Monday showing speeds around 10-15 mph, calming down in the afternoon. The high temperature will still be in the low 90s with the overnight low pushing into the low 70s. 

After that the high temperatures will gradually increase into the mid and upper 90s with increasing cloud coverage. Lows will stay in the upper 60s, low 70s range.
