UPDATE: Cybercriminal group reportedly breaches Canvas, exposing student information

LUBBOCK, Texas (TTU) – We are aware of a nationwide outage currently impacting Canvas and related services. We do not have an estimated time to resolution, but we are actively monitoring updates from the vendor.
We understand the disruption this may cause and appreciate your patience as the issue is being addressed.
Please know the following:
Students should not be academically penalized because of this disruption.
Faculty should pause or adjust online assessments as needed and communicate directly with students using TTU email.
Additional flexibility regarding final exams, assignment submissions and grading deadlines will be provided as necessary at the discretion of college and department leadership.
Deans and department chairs will receive additional guidance to support consistent implementation across colleges and departments.
