The pre-tax figure for one person in these suburbs sits just over $109,000 annually. For a family of four, the comfortable household income climbs above $230,000.
Median household incomes in the area remain among the highest in Texas — Frisco at roughly $145,000 and McKinney at $124,000 — meaning many families come closer to that comfortable threshold than singles do. Still, the report highlights how corporate headquarters, strong schools and desirable housing have fueled demand and driven up prices in recent years.

Local experts point to the same factors. Rice University economist John Diamond noted that explosive population growth in these suburbs has made comfortable living more expensive for individuals trying to keep pace.

While the region’s economy remains robust, the study serves as a snapshot of how affordability challenges are shifting even in once-more-accessible suburbs.
