The Houston Food Bank is hosting special food distributions to help families whose SNAP benefits have been delayed.

HOUSTON — The Houston Food Bank is stepping up to help neighbors feeling the impact of the ongoing government shutdown. The organization has launched special food distributions for families whose SNAP benefits have been delayed and for federal employees missing paychecks.

These events make it easier for families to get fresh, healthy groceries when money is tight.

If your income or benefits haven’t been affected, you can still find help anytime through the Food Bank’s regular partner network. Visit the Find Food map or call 211 to locate the nearest distribution site.

If your SNAP benefits or pay have been interrupted, you can register for support.

Please register for the site nearest to you.Bring your confirmation code and a photo ID, if available, when you arrive.
