Corpus Christi man arrested after string of Rockport burglaries, vehicle thefts

ROCKPORT — A Corpus Christi man was arrested Tuesday after authorities say he was connected to a series of burglaries and vehicle thefts across Rockport and Fulton.
According to the Rockport Police Department, officers first responded to a reported burglary of a habitation in the 300 block of South Sixth Street. Officers gathered information at the scene, including a description of the suspect.
Later that afternoon officers responded to the 2800 block of Business 35 North for a reported vehicle burglary. While investigating, a victim informed officers that her vehicle had just been stolen. Around the same time, another burglary of a habitation was reported in the 300 block of South Seventh Street.
Authorities broadcast information about the stolen vehicle, which was later located unoccupied by the Fulton Police Department in the 500 block of South Fulton Beach Road.
Minutes later, around 2:51 p.m., officers received another report of a stolen vehicle in the 2200 block of Cape Charles Drive. The vehicle owner tracked the vehicle’s location and reported it traveling near Jamaica Drive and Bayshore Drive.
Another caller reported a suspicious person attempting to open doors at a residence on Jamaica Drive. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Rockport Police Department, Fulton Police Department, Aransas County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Parks and Wildlife, established a perimeter in the area.

Authorities received a final report around 3:05 p.m. regarding a possible suspect location on Riviera Drive. Officers responded and located the suspect inside a residence at approximately 3:08 p.m., where he was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect was identified as Jonathan Allen Music, 32, of Corpus Christi. He was transported to the Aransas County Jail and is being held pending multiple charges.
