Office real estate company WeWork is expanding its footprint within Plano’s Legacy business park.
The company has signed a nearly 27,000-square-foot expansion at KBS’ Realty Legacy Town Center II at 6900 N. Dallas Parkway. The new workspace is expected to open this summer and brings its total space at the site to nearly 54,000 square feet across two floors.
The move comes as WeWork sees growth in North Texas. The firm told The Dallas Morning News that foot traffic at WeWork locations across the region has increased 25% since the start of the year, and WeWork On Demand bookings in the market increased 17% over the same period.
“Legacy Town Center is the type of asset that embodies where WeWork best serves our members; its phenomenal aesthetic, exceptional location, and strong community make it
stand out,” Peter Greenspan, WeWork’s head of global real estate, said in a statement. “Our location provides companies everything they need today or may grow into tomorrow. From coworking access to a regional office to even their first headquarters, WeWork’s offerings here unlock a smarter way to work.”
WeWork leaders said the new floor will feature enhanced acoustics, lighting and furnishings as well as a coworking lounge, collaborative meeting rooms and turnkey private offices.
The Legacy West location was one of a handful in Dallas-Fort Worth that WeWork kept as the firm went through its bankruptcy restructuring. WeWork emerged from that bankruptcy debt-free and returned to profitability in 2025, closing the year with nearly $2.3 billion in revenue.
Time magazine named WeWork one of the 100 most influential companies of 2026, saying few corporate comebacks have been as swift or as complete as this. Nearly half of the Fortune 100 are now WeWork members, according to the report.
California-based KBS is one of the largest owners and operators of commercial real estate buildings in the nation. The company has owned the Legacy Town Center buildings since 2012. The three-building complex has more than half a million rentable square feet. It sits near the Shops at Legacy and Legacy West developments.
Dallas-Fort Worth continues to be one of the nation’s office market leaders, according to a recent report from JLL. Move-ins from several large tenants helped the region see over 300,000 square feet of positive net absorption in the first three months of 2026. Net absorption tracks change in occupied space over time.
