Funeral: 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Stouts Creek Cemetery, 653 FM 900 N., Saltillo, Texas, 75478. Born February 23, 1936, in Paris, Texas to Jimmie and Hester Sasser Jewett, Becky moved to Fort Worth, Texas in the late 1950s. She worked in the aerospace industry building airplane parts for 19 years at Murdock, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter and LTV. She retired from aerospace and worked in the home health field for a few years before her final retirement. Becky met some of her closest friends in 1967 when she started in aerospace and continued to enjoy each other’s company along with other friends. She was a vibrant person was always ready to “Go!” for any activity or event. Becky loved life and her little dog, Sophie. She married Jimmy King on November 18, 1985, in Fort Worth, Texas. Becky met her husband in a church where Jimmy’s cousins were singing, and Becky took her parents to hear them. They were sitting on opposite ends of the pew and started talking afterwards. A quick courtship, their first date was Labor Day and they then married on Thanksgiving Day. Becky and Jimmy loved traveling and camping with friends. They would load up and be gone anywhere from a couple of days to several weeks at a time. She loved having people over to visit, play games, or share a meal. Her home was always open to anyone any time; always there to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. Becky had a great sense of humor. Sometimes you’d not know whether to laugh, cry or even to pretend you did not hear what she said just to see her reaction. Becky was a member of Worth Baptist Church where she enjoyed studying and sharing her knowledge of the Bible. She loved the Lord and loved sharing Him with everyone she met. Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy King and parents, Jimmie and Hester Jewett. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Donna King. Becky will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
