Meteorologist Hope Boland tracks the storms overnight, and power outages are possible
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A line of thunderstorms moved through the Coastal Bend between 11 PM Sunday night and 5 AM Monday morning.
According to the AEP power outage map, more than 11,000 customers are without power in Nueces County, with expected restoration around 8 AM. 1000 customers in Bee County are without power, with restoration expected around 5 AM. Check current power outages here.

A wind gust of 84 mph was reported at NAS Corpus Christi. This is a Cat 1 Hurricane strength wind gust and the strongest report as of 2:20 AM Monday morning. .
A wind gust of 63 mph was reported in Pawnee by the National Weather Service. This is equivalent to a strong tropical storm force gusts. A weak tropical storm starts with sustained winds of 39 mph. Here is a list of other wind reports from local airports.

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were in place for the areas experiencing these high wind gusts. All warnings have since expired. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued by the National Weather Service until 5 AM Monday morning.
Meteorologist Hope Boland tracks the line of thunderstorms live as they move southeast at about 40 mph. Wind gusts at 60 mph are the main threat, with power outages possible.
The Kiii Studio took a power hit around 1::50 AM as the storms rolled into Corpus Christi.
