The Plano Reapers swept Gardner-South Wilmington in a doubleheader Saturday, winning 17-7 in six innings in game one and 9-6 in game two. In the opener, Justin Bishop went 4 for 4 with a triple, a home run and four RBIs. Eric Nunez had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs, while Quentin Santoria and Sean Garton each had two hits, with Santoria driving in three runs. Terrance Mallory Jr. doubled and knocked in three runs, and Julian Gates added two RBIs. Jackson Gates earned the win, allowing seven earned runs on 10 hits with one walk and five strikeouts over four innings. In game two, Nunez, Santoria, Mallory Jr. and Jackson Gates each had two hits. Santoria, Bishop and Jackson Gates drove in two runs apiece, Nunez and Bishop both doubled, and Santoria and Jackson Gates homered. Braylon Schmidt earned the win after allowing six runs, five earned, on five hits with five walks and six strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.

The Kaneland Knights swept Romeoville, winning 8-1 in game one and 15-4 in five innings in game two. In the opener, Brady Alstott had two hits and scored twice, Hayden Foster added two hits and three RBIs, and Carter Grabowski collected two hits and scored two runs. Caleb Newton threw a complete game to earn the win, allowing one earned run on four hits with no walks and seven strikeouts. In game two, Colton Ludwig and Nick Ridolfi each had two hits and three RBIs. Matthew Warner and Blake Crawford both added two hits and two RBIs, while Kayden Johnson and Nicholas Warner each had two hits and scored twice. Ridolfi also scored two runs.

The Marmion Academy Cadets edged Aurora Central Catholic 7-6. Charlie Zebig had two hits and an RBI, David Ferris drove in two runs, and Brendan Kavanaugh doubled and added an RBI. Matthew Tulley pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing five runs, four earned, on two hits with four walks and three strikeouts. For the Chargers, Leo Corral homered and drove in four runs, while Brodie Curry had two hits, including a triple.

The Parkview Christian Academy Falcons fell to Bishop McNamara 9-1. Collin Mulder doubled and drove in Oliver Malkowski for the Falcons’ only run.

The Newark Norsemen lost to St. Bede 10-0 in six innings. Eastin McBroom doubled for one of the Norsemen’s five hits.

The Sandwich Indians defeated Oregon 11-4. Braden Behringer had two hits, including a double, with three RBIs and two runs scored. Griffin Somlock added two hits, and Nick Michalek tripled, drove in a run and scored twice. Brody Cole earned the win, allowing four earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts over five innings.

The Yorkville Foxes dropped a 1-0 decision to Naperville Central. Gavin Geegan had the Foxes’ only hit, while Brody Dryden allowed one earned run on two hits with one walk and five strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings.
