A new Texas-based Bravo series has been greenlit to officially begin filming in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, according to The Hollywood Reporter and a network news article published Monday, May 11.
The show, Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives, will be set in Boerne, just 30 miles north of San Antonio, and will center around the “dramatic lives of a close‑knit group of women,” according to BravoTV.com.
The show’s description reads, “In the heart of Texas Hill Country is the picture‑perfect town of Boerne, where wealth, beauty, faith and family reign supreme.”
The cast will feature a “tight-knit circle of glamorous women” and will follow along with their lives as they navigate raising their children, running their family-run ranches, and managing “sparkling social calendars in a town rooted in rodeos and tradition.”
“Behind the polished smiles and Sunday sermons, however, there are intimate relationships and forbidden romances that test loyalties and marriages, jeopardizing the town’s pristine image and proving that perfection is far more complicated than anyone could imagine,” the show’s description reads.
The new series marks Bravo’s return to the Lone Star State after halting filming on The Real Housewives of Dallas in 2021 after five seasons of ratings struggles. The network also briefly aired “Texicanas,” a San Antonio-based reality show, in 2019.
For now, few details are known about who will be featured on the show as potential castmates. Boerne has grown steadily in recent years, with new developments sprouting up across the tiny town, causing tension between the public and area developers.
One of the town’s most notable development dramas in recent memory is a decades-long Buc-ee’s saga, in which a city official called the development “sloppy,” after months of public outrage.
Hopefully, for Lone Star State Bravo fans, it’s a sign of even more drama to come, set this time to play out on TV screens everywhere.
