Flavors of the Coastal Bend returns for a 5th annual event in Port Aransas

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Calling all local foodies: the 5th Annual Flavors of the Coastal Bend is returning to Port Aransas for another year.

The Coastal Bend Chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association is once again hosting the event at the Port Royal Ocean Resort & Conference Center, featuring some of the best restaurants in the area.

This year’s event will also feature a showdown between culinary programs from two local high schools. The defending champions from London ISD are returning after defeating every professional restaurant in last year’s competition. This year, they’ll face new competition from culinary students at Ray High School, who are also planning to put on their chef coats for the event.

Organizers say the competition is part of the ProStart high school culinary program. Students will be given a specific list of ingredients and challenged to turn them into a winning dish.

The event is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Tickets start at $50 and can be purchased online HERE
