FORT WORTH – Ronald Trowbridge lovingly known as Ron passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the age of 79. He was laid to rest in a private ceremony at Mount Olivet Cemetery. He will be missed by his family and friends. Ron was born in Versailles, Kentucky to Everett Lee Trowbridge and Lula Mae Perraut on December 15, 1946. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a radio operator. Following his military service, he built a long and successful career as an engineer with AT&T, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. After retiring, Ron began a second career as a realtor, enjoying the opportunity to meet and help others. Above all, Ron cherished time spent with his family. When his children were young, he loved taking family trips and creating lasting memories together. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing poker, tending to the plants in his yard, and taking long car rides with his beloved Liz in their Miata. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, quiet devotion to his family, and the joy he found in life’s simple moments. Ron is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Trowbridge; sons, Ronald Keith Trowbridge and wife, Layla, and Kristopher Lee Trowbridge and wife, Shawna; grandchildren, Addison Trowbridge, Kaden Trowbridge, and Kieran Trowbridge; and dog son, Pepe Trowbridge.
