The Salvation Army of Corpus Christi is kicking off its annual Summer Fan Drive and is asking for community support to help keep residents safe during the South Texas heat.
The drive helps provide heat relief to senior citizens, low-income households and individuals experiencing homelessness during the summer months.
Donations will be collected throughout the remainder of May and all of June, with distribution planned for early July.
