EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Police confirm that the 22-year-old man who was hit by a car Saturday in East El Paso has died from the injuries he suffered.
According to the El Paso Police Department, Luis Francisco Salcido was rushed to the hospital Saturday morning after he reportedly was hit by an SUV while crossing Zaragoza and Sun Fire crosswalk– going against the “do not cross” sign.
This happened at around 4:51 a.m.

Police added that the SUV that hit Salcido was towing two other vehicles.
The driver of the SUV is not facing charges.

Investigators are asking people who might have information regarding this crash to contact them at 915-832-4400 or Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477.
According to police statistics, Salcido’s death is the 47th traffic death of 2025, compared to 53 same time last year.
