A popular Hawaiian-style shrimp restaurant is expanding to Dallas this summer.
Coco Shrimp is a Fort Worth-based chain known for its affordable, customizable shrimp plates that include buttered rice, salad and a variety of salad dressings. The shrimp can be made sautéed or hand-battered and fried, and topped with different kinds of sauce, such as butter garlic, spicy and sweet teriyaki.

Coco Shrimp began as a food truck in 2016 before opening its first brick-and-mortar on Bryan Avenue in Fort Worth in 2019. It now has 10 locations mostly in North Texas, including in Fort Worth, Plano, Richardson, Denton and Mansfield. The new location, its 11th, will be in Dallas’ Oak Lawn area.
According to a Facebook post from the restaurant, this location is undergoing a full remodel, as it is replacing a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit.
Coco Shrimp’s Dallas location will be at 2525 Wycliff Ave., #130, Dallas and is expected to open in summer 2026. www.cocoshrimp.com.
