Drivers making their way through San Antonio’s Northside are facing delays on Tuesday, May 12, because a crash has shut down several lanes on a busy highway. The incident happened during the morning rush on U.S. 281.
The traffic monitoring site SigAlert shows that two left lanes on U.S. 281 South at Donella Drive are closed due to the collision. As of 8:31 a.m., commuters near the Hollywood Park neighborhood were experiencing stop-and-go traffic, with many moving between 6 and 19 mph. The crash was reported at 7:24 a.m.
Folks are backed up to E. Borgfeld Drive, and SigAlert states that people traveling through the area should expect to be waiting for up to one hour. Currently, it is unclear as to what caused the crash and how many people were involved.
