Plano West and Plano East Senior High Schools competed in the SkillsUSA Texas Leadership and Skills Conference from April 7-11 at the Hilliard Center in Corpus Christi. The event featured competitions for audio/visual production students, alongside industry exhibits and leadership workshops. Winners from district competitions qualified for this state event.
The National Leadership & Skills Conference will be held June 1-5, 2026, in Atlanta, GA.

State Champion – Audio Production
Kelly Morefield and Selma Zamarripa
Kelly and Selma emerged victorious among 25 competing teams, earning a prestigious Gold medal. They will proudly represent the state of Texas in their event at Nationals. This achievement marks Plano West’s third appearance at Nationals and its first in the Audio Production contest.
