Fashion and basketball go hand in hand, from courtside looks to the outfits worn by players as they enter the stadium. For the Spurs, it’s no different, and the players and their families have been making the rounds with local designers to get their merch and custom items during the playoffs.

Alamo Boot Co. crafts a pair for Keldon Johnson

This fresh local bootmaker is behind a custom pair of boots recently spotted on Spurs forward Keldon Johnson. Co-founder Sergio Villagomez told MySA he and Martin Bautista launched Alamo Boot Co. in January 2025, and the boots have been in the works for about a year.

“When we reached out around May … it was kind of like a shot in the dark for us, because we’re a San Antonio brand, and we wanted a San Antonio voice, and we couldn’t think of anyone better than Keldon,” Villagomez said. “I feel like he’s someone who lives the brand in terms of San Antonio and what it means to be from here. And I think he fitted us really well.”

Johnson is known for owning a ranch in the Hill Country, a fact Villagomez said they took into account while crafting his pair of boots.

“Eventually we settled on this Python boot, which is in like a sandy brown, and it’s something that can be dressed up, and it can be dressed down,” he said. “And I think that’s perfect for Keldon, because he can wear it out nice, or he can also just wear it out at the ranch, and he won’t have to worry about it.”

Villagomez says they knew Johnson would wear the boots to a game, but didn’t expect to see their handiwork on the team’s official Instagram page, a moment he calls “surreal.” According to Villagomez, it made the dream of being a San Antonio boot brand “seem very real.”

Spurs families visit Pinkberry Boutique

Pinkberry Boutique hooked up Anissa McLaughlin, wife of Spurs guard Jordan McLaughlin, with a custom outfit featuring Jordan’s jersey number, rhinestones, and Y2K-inspired airbrushing. And according to an Instagram post, the popular Southside boutique was also visited by the family of Keldon Johnson, who came by to get some merch before a recent game.

For those looking for feminine Spurs gear that doesn’t shy away from bright colors and sparkle, Pinkberry has lots of that.

“Pinkberry feels a great sense of accomplishment and pride as we bring our own feminine twist to sports fashion – specifically with the San Antonio Spurs who have our heart!  We are proud to be among the women who are building their own seats at tables that are typically dominated by men like – sports and business,” owner Wendy Gutierrez told MySA in a direct message. “Connecting directly with the Spurs players, wives, mothers, and sisters had a huge impact on our success. It’s women supporting women and we love to see it.”

Jordan McLaughlin walked into a recent game sporting a hat from Kalianas Boutique, with “Spurs Area 210” in a gothic font and an alien to top it all off. Owner Natalia Estrada told MySA in a direct message that “stepping into the Spurs fashion game just made sense.”

“We were born and raised in San Antonio, and the Spurs are part of our DNA here,” Estrada said. “We focus on statement pieces that stand out, not your typical merch and seeing the community embrace that has been huge for us. We love creating pieces that let fans and even members of the Spurs family show their team spirit in a way that still feels elevated and unique. It’s all about blending culture, confidence, and community.”

Like Pinkberry, Estrada’s boutique is all about the glitzy side of sports fashion and features rhinestone tube tops, beaded earrings, purse straps, accessories and more. Orders can be made through direct message.

Karolina’s Antiques has all the quirky Spurs gear

Karolina’s Antiques, a popular Southtown shop, got a visit from the McLaughlins as well. Inside, Karolina’s sells everything from Spurs earrings and keychains, mini cooler koozies, Spurs prayer candles, signs and more — even a throwback-style Spurs foam hat. And back in March, when a racist text demeaning “crazy Hispanic fans” went viral, Karolina’s was among the first shops to flip the insult into a point of pride and turn it into merch.
