A Florida-based restaurant serving elevated American cuisine is opening its first Texas location in McKinney next week.
Oak & Stone is known for “bold flavors, genuine hospitality, and its self-pour tap wall experience,” a news release said.
Part of hospitality group Artistry Restaurants, Oak & Stone offers made-from-scratch dishes and diverse drinks. One of the restaurant’s highlights is the tap wall that allows guests to pour from about 50 rotating taps featuring beer, wine, bourbon, whiskey, cocktails and an expanding selection of zero-proof options, according to the release.
Oak & Stone also offers craft cocktails such as the Honey Nut Strawberry Mojito, which comes with coconut rum, strawberry puree, lime, mint and honey, and the Smoked Oak Fashioned, served in a smoked glass with Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon, fresh orange, amarena cherry, simple syrup, bitters and fresh rosemary.
Now, let’s talk about the food.
Highlights from Oak & Stone’s menu include appetizers like the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Pretzel-Crusted Sashimi and wings, which are a customer favorite and can be tossed in housemade sauces such as the Bourbon Sticky, a sweet tangy bourbon sauce with scallions and sesame seeds.
Other menu options include artisan pizzas, salads and a variety of handhelds such as burgers and sandwiches.
Because this new location is the restaurant’s Texas debut, Oak & Stone will partner with Texas staple Terry Black’s Barbecue to introduce exclusive, locally inspired menu items, the release said.
Under this collaboration, Oak & Stone’s McKinney location will feature Terry Black’s Dry Rub Wings and a Brisket & Bacon Pizza, which will include Terry Black’s chopped brisket, spicy candied bacon, a housemade BBQ sauce and more. Another Texas-exclusive dish is the Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers made with street corn and cream cheese filling, crispy bacon and served with ranch.
Oak & Stone currently has eight locations, all in Florida. The restaurant’s new McKinney location will be involved with the community, the release said, through partnerships with Texas vendors for ingredients and collaborations with local breweries and distilleries.
“As we grow beyond Florida, it’s important that each Oak & Stone location reflects the community it serves,” Sam Aguilar, the restaurant’s president, said in the release. “McKinney is the perfect place for our Texas debut, and we’re looking forward to having a space where guests can gather, discover new flavors, and feel a true sense of connection.”
The roughly 6,000-square-foot space in McKinney will be able to seat around 200 people and is designed to feel warm and lived-in, according to the release.
On opening day, guests who visit Oak & Stone McKinney will have the chance to win one of four sets of four tickets to the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. They can also spin-and-win prizes including T-shirts, gift cards and more. Prizes will be available for the first 300 guests, while supplies last, the release said.
After opening its first Texas location, Oak & Stone plans to expand to Addison, according to its website.
Oak & Stone will open on May 19, 2026, at 8575 W. University Drive, Suite 150, McKinney. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner daily, and brunch will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays. https://oakandstone.com.
