After dropping last year’s contest to Lewisville, the red-hot Guyer Wildcats (6-2, 5-0) look to extend their five-game winning streak when they host the Lewisville Farmers (7-1, 4-1) in a pivotal Class 6A Region I District 5 matchup Friday night at C.H. Collins Stadium.

The Wildcats, fresh off a dominant 29-0 shutout of Little Elm, have been powered by a punishing ground attack led by senior Kaedyn Cobbs (121 yards, two TDs last week) and Aiden Martens (87 yards, TD). They will face a resilient Farmers squad that survived a 45-43 double-overtime thriller against Hebron, as junior quarterback Tre Williams showcased his arm talent with 205 passing yards and four touchdowns, including a pair to senior receiver Traejan Mueller.

With district positioning at stake and memories of last November’s 27-17 defeat still fresh, Guyer’s perfect district record will be tested against a Lewisville team looking to build on its extra-time victory and solidify its own playoff positioning.

Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT on Friday, October 31 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network.
