EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 24-year-old man was arrested after allegedly entering a residence through the window and assaulting a victim on April 29 in El Paso’s Lower Valley.

Tristan Joel Coriz was arrested and has been charged with burglary of habitation with the intent to commit another felony and a separate burglary of habitation charge. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $200,000 total bond.

Shortly before 5 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Lomaland Drive to a report of a burglary in progress.

When officers arrived, they found Coriz inside the residence.

The investigation revealed that the victim and her significant other were asleep when they were awakened by Coriz, who had allegedly entered the residence and assaulted the victim, according to EPPD.

Coriz allegedly entered the residence through a window.

Corriz was then taken into custody without incident.

According to jail records, he was released on Thursday, May 7.
