EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Free live music is back at McKelligon Canyon.

According to Townsquare Media, Cool Canyon Nights Music Series returns starting Thursday and continuing every Thursday until July 30.

Presented by WestStar, the ‘night’ will start every Thursday at 6 p.m. at the El Paso Community College Career and Technical Education Patio Stage and will then be followed at 7 p.m. on the main stage inside the McKelligon Canyon amphitheater.

Organizers said the 2026 series will kick off with Mariachi Los Arrieros, and then will be followed by a diverse collection of artists, which includes Sir El Tom’s piano-driven rock show, Queen of Tejano doing a Selena tribute and rock band The Roulettes.

Besides live music, there will be food trucks, artisan vendors, photo opportunities, and giveaways at the Labinoti Law prize tent.

The concert series is free; however, organizers are selling VIP tickets, which include reserved seating in the Babytree Surrogacy VIP lounge and amphitheater, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and a beverage during the show.

Organizers stressed that attendees need to follow the clear bag policy inside the venue, and as a result, are encouraging people to leave purses and handbags in their vehicles.

This is the 16th season.
