LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Registration is open to attend Covenant Health’s fifth annual Covenant Ready Summer Camp.
It is a one-day camp to let middle schoolers experience firsthand what it is like to work at the hospital.
Students will explore a wide range of health care careers and hear from professionals in each field including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medics, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech therapists.
There will be two sessions in June on the 16th or 17th, as well as in July on the 8th or 9th.
The camp will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Maxey Park, located at 4007 30th St.
Lunch will be provided.
Attendance is limited to 100 students per session. There will be a waiting list for each day.
The camp is free to attend and is open to incoming sixth through eighth grade students.
