EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Townsquare Media El Paso and SMG Events announced that Cool Canyon Nights Music Series will return to El Paso for its 16th season beginning Thursday, May 14.

Presented by WestStar Bank, Cool Canyon Nights will bring live entertainment under the stars at McKelligon Canyon.

Every Thursday evening will consist of live performances on the El Paso Community College Career and Technical Education State, beginning at 6 p.m., and followed by the main stage performance at 7 p.m. inside the amphitheatre.

The event began in 2011 and has now grown into one of the Borderland’s favorite traditions, now welcoming more than 15,000 guests each season, according to officials.

Organizers said the series was created to celebrate the natural beauty of McKelligon Canyon while showcasing the incredible talent of local and regional musicians.

This year’s lineup features a diverse mix of musical styles and fan-favorite performances throughout the summer season, officials said.

In addition to live music, attendees can enjoy featured beverages from L&F Distributing, food trucks, artisan vendors, photo opportunities, and giveaways at the Labinoti Law prize tent

The music events are free for the public, but VIP tickets are available for guests online while supplies last.

These tickets include reserved seating in the Babytree Surrogacy VIP lounge and amphitheater, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and a beverage during the show.

Officials said there is a clear bag policy, and encourage customers to leave purses and handbags in their cars.
