LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department identified the pedestrian who was hit and killed in the 5100 block of 19th Street on Saturday as Charles Hargrove, 69.
LPD said officers were called to the crash at 7:46 a.m.
According to police, the investigation revealed Hargrove had just finished yard work when he stepped off the curb, and was struck by a vehicle as it traveled west in the right-hand lane. LPD said Hargrove was taken to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
