As temperatures start to rise in North Texas, so does the volume. This summer will be filled with lots of opportunities to listen to free live music.
This lineup includes outdoor concert series happening around North Texas that feature local bands and fun for the whole family. Make sure to arrive early and bring chairs and blankets to sit on.

CITYLINE CONCERT SERIES
In Richardson, there is free live music at Cityline during the Cityline concert series. It happens every Friday and Saturday and features live performances spanning from pop, rock, jazz, country and Latin music. Attendees can bring their own beverage

Every Thursday, right in front of the iconic Denton Historic Courthouse, Twilight Tunes will be filling the square with live music. Some performers include Texas Blues Crew on May 21, Raised Right Men on May 28, Claire Morales on June 4, Roses & Clover on June 11 and Strong Work on June 18.

COURTYARD CONCERT SERIES

Throughout the summer, the Mesquite Arts Center will be hosting the Courtyard Concert Series. It will feature local bands like Le Cure, Don’t Tell Mama and Breaking Bad Co.

FREE CONCERTS AT LEVITT PAVILION ARLINGTON
Catch a free concert in downtown Arlington at Levitt Pavilion during the summer. There will be alternative rock, Americana, Tejano, cumbia, jazz/funk, blues/rock, country, R&B/soul and salsa music playing live.

Peace Plaza in Grapevine will come alive every Friday and Saturday evening with live music. Patrons will get to listen to many local bands and cover bands like Traveller, Strange Magic, Hazard County, STREETZ, King George and more.

SOUNDS OF LEWISVILLE CONCERT SERIES
The Sounds of Lewisville Concert Series began in 1991 at the Vista Ridge Amphitheater. Today the concert takes place on Tuesdays in May and June at Old Town Lewisville. During the concerts there will be two bands, food trucks, activities and vendors. Also, this year patrons can bring their own beverages. There will be no concert on June 30.

Enjoy Thursday evenings listening to live music while watching the sunset over Lake Ray Hubbard. The free concert series kicks off with Motown band Memphis Soul and is followed by Red the Taylor Swift Tribute band, Straight Tequila Night, Band Moon Rising, Extended Play, Soulful Soundz, Tejano Queen, Nate Burnham, Walk this Way, Endless Summer and David Whiteman Band.

WRR 2026 SUMMER MUSIC SERIES
The WRR Summer Music Series returns for its third year. It will take place every Saturday evening in the outdoor pavilion of Level 2 of Mockingbird Station. It will feature four classical performances featuring songs from Bach, Broadway, The Beatles, Argentine tangos, Austrian waltzes, Irish Reels and K-Pop.

DALLAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PARKS CONCERTS
The free concerts in the park by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra return this summer. The series kicks off with Memorial Day at Flag Pole Hill and will feature fireworks. The other concerts will take place at Fretz Park on June 2, Exall Park on June 3, Kidd Springs Park on June 5 and Paul Quinn College on June 6.

Vitruvian Nights Live features free summer concerts every other Thursday at the amphitheater at Vitruvian Park. The concerts begin on June 11 with Selena Tribute band Bidi Bidi Banda, other performances include Dueling Pianos on June 25, classic rock band Ashmore on July 9, new wave ’80s band The Spazmatics, and ends with Taylor Swift tribute artist Lover on August 6.

In Allen at Watters Creek Village, music lovers can check out the free concerts by the creek. Attendees can have a picnic and buy food from surrounding restaurants while local bands perform. The bands performing include Sugar the Band, Live Radio DFW, GenXiles and more.
