Corpus Christi’s Hilliard Center sees leadership shakeup as general manager departs

The managing partner of Corpus Christi’s Hilliard Center announced Wednesday that its operations general manager has departed.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The managing partner of Corpus Christi’s Hilliard Center announced Wednesday that its operations general manager has departed, triggering a national search for a replacement.

OVG360, which manages the Hilliard Center, confirmed that Daniel Melise is no longer with the company, effective immediately. No reason was given for his departure.

Melanie Granado, who previously served as general manager over hospitality and food service, has been named interim general manager over operations.

OVG leadership says a national search for a permanent general manager is now underway through the company’s talent acquisition team.

Shura Garnett, senior vice president for OVG Convention Centers, along with other OVG360 corporate leadership, are on site to assist with the transition and support the local team.

The City of Corpus Christi says it will continue working closely with OVG management during the transition and will provide updates as they become available.
