According to Speros, the Cowboys will travel the fourth-highest number of miles in 2026, behind the Texans, Rams and 49ers. They’ll travel 27,980 miles this season, which, as Speros notes, is greater than the distance around the earth at the equator.
Dallas is usually a high-ranking member of these preseason lists, simply due to the fact that the NFC East division pits them against three East Coast teams in Philadelphia, New York (East Rutherford, N.J.) and Washington (Landover, Md.). Add the fact that the Cowboys will play in Brazil in Week 3 of the upcoming season, and you start to wonder how they aren’t No. 1. They’ll travel over 10,000 miles round-trip for that game alone.
The answer: The Rams and 49ers will square off in Melbourne, Australia, to begin the season, and that far and away puts them at Nos. 1 and 2 on the list. No. 3, the Texans, will play an international game as well, facing off against the Jaguars in London in Week 6.
