Keith House, a Fort Worth nonprofit community gathering space centered around a James Turrell Skyspace, has found its new director.
Holly Harrison, former Executive Director of Ballroom Marfa, was announced on Tuesday, May 5, as the organization’s new leader, following the March 2026 retirement of founding director Janelle Montgomery.

In a press release, Adelaide Bratten Leavens, Board President of the Meta Alice Keith Bratten Foundation that manages Keith House, said, “Holly Harrison will be an instant asset to Keith House! Her experience, nationwide with noted institutions, will deliver a wealth of exposure and recognition, enabling [Keith House] to solidify its role as a destination for those who wish to experience the unique beauty of Turrell’s work. Her enthusiasm to engage with our local community will provide a superior level of outreach for individuals and organizations to visit our special place.”
In 2018, the Meta Alice Keith Bratten Foundation established Entrada of Texas, a nonprofit corporation, to build and manage Keith House. The facility opened to the public in 2025. Ms. Montgomery led Keith House from 2022 to her recent retirement.
Ms. Harrison was named as the first Director of the Thoma Foundation, a Dallas-based art collection and educational institution, in May 2022. She left that role to become Interim Director of Ballroom Marfa in March 2024, then was appointed Executive Director in August 2024 and served in that role until December 2025.
Prior to those roles, Ms. Harrison led programming initiatives at the Mississippi Museum of Art and in the Arts and Cultural Heritage Program of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in New York City.

Ms. Harrison takes the helm of Keith House as it embarks on a new contemporary art exhibitions program, the first example of which is Time after Time: Pamela Nelson, on view through May 24. The exhibitions will be made in dialogue with Mr. Turrell’s Come to Good installation, which activates daily with colored light sequences at sunrise and sunset.
Ms. Harrison said, “What makes Keith House extraordinary is not only Turrell’s Skyspace, but the connection the artwork and meeting house fosters between community members, the city, and the natural world. There is a tremendous opportunity to build on the Meta Alice Keith Bratten Foundation’s visionary gift to Fort Worth, and I’m honored to lead Keith House’s next chapter.”
