State Highway 183 main lanes reopened in Irving due to vehicle fire

Update at 12:22 p.m.: All main lanes on eastbound State Highway 183 in Irving at Story Road have reopened.

The main lanes were closed this morning at 8:02 a.m. due to a vehicle fire. 

Emergency services and the fire department were dispatched and responded to the scene, according to the Texas Department of Transportation cameras. The Texas Department of Public Safety and Irving Police Department did not respond to immediate requests for comment. 

TxDOT shows traffic moving in the parallel managed lanes. Traffic is being diverted to nearby exits.
