EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Police released the identity of the man who died Monday night after he was hit by two vehicles in South Central El Paso.
According to the El Paso Police Department, at around 8:15 p.m., 60-year-old Armando Gonzalez died at the 6100 block of Alameda Avenue after he reportedly crossed into the path of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, was hit and thrown to the ground, where a second vehicle, a 2007 Toyota Tacoma, couldn’t avoid him.

Investigators with EPPD’s Special Traffic unit determined that “pedestrian in the roadway” was the contributing factor in the incident.
According to police statistics, this is the 20th traffic death in the year, compared to 22 this same time in 2025.
