Police in Dallas, Texas, are seeking answers after the body of a woman was found in a vacant home.

The Dallas Police Department said it responded to a call on the afternoon of May 10 after people said they found a body on Georgia Avenue.

The body was identified as a 27-year-old woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Fox 4 reported that the victim, Mariah Murray, was discovered in a freezer inside an abandoned home. Authorities are investigating her death as a homicide, according to the outlet.

Police have not yet identified a suspect, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Dallas police at 214-671-3671.

Murray’s family spoke to Fox 4 after visiting the scene where she was found.

“All of these people around here, somebody who knows did it,” her cousin told the outlet. “They know who did it.”

The outlet reported that another family member described Murray as a “good spirit.”
