A hilltop mansion in Southlake headlined a list of Texas’ most expensive home listings in April.
The newly built, $24 million Dallas-Fort Worth mansion led a list created by the Houston Association of Realtors, which tracks the most expensive listings in the state in a monthly list.
The home is at one of the highest points in the area and has views to match that elevation, said Jerry W. Mooty Jr., the mansion’s listing agent.
“There’s no place in all D-FW that has this kind of views,” Mooty said. “You can see DFW Airport, and on a clear day, you can see all the way to AT&T Stadium in Arlington. So it’s just a really unique setting.”
The property is owned by Jon Clark through a trust, according to the Denton Central Appraisal District. Clark said that when he started building the home, he viewed it as a good investment, but then started to think it might be a nice place to live.
However, Clark said he is now looking to see how it performs on the market. Clark said he manages an investment portfolio that includes real estate holdings. There has been some interest in the home, but the home’s price point would require a unique buyer, he said.
The home also includes six full bathrooms, four half bathrooms, garage space for seven cars, a plunge pool, a safe room, a great room and a hidden speakeasy, according to the listing.
“[Jon] created this pivot wall so when you go to the bottom of the stairs, you don’t really notice anything,” Mooty said. “And then you push the wall, and it opens up to this big speakeasy with a bar and seating, TV room, a stage.”
The home is near Grapevine Lake and the Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve. The home, which was completed this year, has a 2026 appraised value of $5.9 million for tax purposes, according to the appraisal district.
The home had been previously listed in November 2025 before it was ready to be occupied for the same price before the listing was removed in April, according to Zillow. The mansion was one of the most expensive homes still on the market at the close of the year.
