22-year-old man killed in South Dallas shooting, police say

A 22-year-old man was found shot to death Friday evening in South Dallas, according to police.

Dallas police responded about 5:40 p.m. to a shooting call in the 1700 block of Pear Street, the department said in a news release.

Officers found Daqualon Rudd at the scene with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Authorities did not release additional details about what led to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
