El Paso Zoo evacuated after reports of a bomb threat

The El Paso Zoo was evacuated as police continue to investigate a report of a bomb threat, authorities said.

El Paso Police Department officers responded about 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, to a report of a bomb threat at the zoo located at 4001 E. Paisano Drive in South-Central El Paso, police said in an alert.

The zoo was evacuated out of an abundance of caution, the alert states.

No further information has been released.
