A slate of high-profile Democrats is expected to join the party’s largest gathering in the country June 25-27 in Corpus Christi.

The Caller-Times previously reported that the Texas Democratic Party will be holding its 2026 State Convention, featuring U.S. Sen. Cory Booker as a keynote speaker, in Corpus Christi.

The state political party announced in a May 14 news release that additional programming will feature U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, as well as Democratic U.S. Senate and Texas gubernatorial candidates James Talarico and Gina Hinojosa, and Texas Democratic Party Chair Kendall Scudder.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin and New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham are also scheduled to speak.

The event will feature a free concert by U.S. congressional candidate and Tejano musician Bobby Pulido.

As many as 5,000 Texas Democrats are expected to attend the multi-day convention, according to the news release.

The 2026 Republican Party of Texas Convention is scheduled for June 11-13 in Houston. During the convention, delegates from across Texas will adopt the state party platform.
