Marvalou Bloomfield Ditmore, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Mount Olivet Chapel in the Breyley Suite. Marvalou was born on April 23, 1942, in River Oaks, Texas. She was known for her strength, kindness, and deep love for her family. Throughout her life, she touched many hearts with her caring spirit, gentle nature, and unwavering devotion to those she loved, and never met a stranger. Marvalou had a lifelong spiritual connection to Our Lord. She loved attending church and singing in the choir, where she found joy in worship and fellowship with others. Marvalou was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Ditmore; her parents, Mert and Marguerite Bloomfield; her brother, David Bloomfield; and her grandson, Dakota Burns. Marvalou is survived by her son, Barry Shaw; her daughters, Donna Burns and Sherry Redden; her husband, Jason Redden; her grandchildren, Shain Burns and Dalton Ford, and his wife, Brittanie; her great-grandson, Dawson Ford, along with extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
