LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash in central Lubbock last month.
Just before 10:30 p.m. on September 23, officers were called to a crash with injuries involving a pedestrian at the intersection of 50th Street and Canton Avenue.
Police found 68-year-old Alfred Lopez lying in the roadway with serious injuries. He was taken to UMC where he later died.
Investigators are seeking information about a passenger car that struck Lopez and left the scene. The passenger car is described as a dark red Chevrolet Malibu, made between 2013 to 2015, with front-end damage on the driver’s side.
