Several weeklong road closures are taking place on the Dallas North Tollway, and they started Monday morning. The closures are needed for roadway repairs, according to the North Texas Toll Authority.
All closures will run through Memorial Day and end on Tuesday, May 26. Although closures will occur over the weekend, double lane closures will not take place Friday or Saturday nights.
The southbound left lane of Dallas Parkway, the DNT frontage road, from Interstate 635 to Harvest Hill Road will be closed continuously.
Two northbound left lanes of Dallas Parkway from I-635 to Galleria Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
The following night closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.:
One lane in each direction will be open at all times.
The following night closures will take place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
To enter southbound DNT, drivers will take the Dallas Parkway/Inwood Road exit and follow signs to enter the tollway at Inwood Road.
To enter northbound DNT, motorists will take the Dallas Parkway/Inwood Road exit and turn right. Drivers can follow signs leading back to the tollway.
Message boards will be placed nearby to alert drivers of the closures.
