(KBTX) – Texas A&M slugger Mya Perez was named to the All-America second team by Softball America, the outlet announced Tuesday.
It is her second season in a row earning All-American honors from the organization.
Perez was the only player in Division I to reach base safely in every game of the regular season. She had an on-base streak of 55 games.
She ranks fourth nationally in on-base percentage (.602) and 25th in slugging percentage (.893), leading the SEC in on-base percentage and ranking fifth in slugging percentage.
The junior had a career-high 19 home runs and added 10 doubles. She finished with 54 walks, the second-most by an Aggie in a single season.
Perez also earned NFCA All-Region Central first team and All-SEC first team honors this season, while being named a top 25 finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.
