As the 2025 Central Texas high school football season makes its way toward the state playoffs, several Austin-area district races are in full swing. Week 10 of the regular season began Thursday night with a 35-34 thriller at Gupton Stadium as Hutto wide receiver Jaiden Fields helped the Hippos clinch a playoff spot in District 25-6A.
Friday night’s schedule of Week 10 games are led by three games from three different districts:

• District 25-6A: Round Rock at Stony Point. One of those RRISD matchups where one team (Round Rock) has a whole bunch to play for and the other (Stony Point) doesn’t beyond finishing strong. If the Dragons lose this one, they might face a win-or-else scenario in next week’s regular-season finale against Vandegrift to make the playoffs.
Hutto’s Jaiden Fields (1) celebrates on the ground after making a touchdown catch against Vista Ridge on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 at Gupton Stadium in Cedar Park, Texas.

• District 26-6A: Austin High at Bowie. With Lake Travis, Westlake and Dripping Springs ahead of them, tonight’s game at Burger Stadium is essentially for the fourth and final playoff spot. But there’s even bigger things at play: depending on whether it’s the Division I Bulldogs or Division II Maroons will impact whether the Westlake Chaparrals are in the DI or DII pool for the Class 6A playoffs.
• District 8-5A: Georgetown at Lake Belton. The Eagles (7-1, 5-0) have won six straight games and are on a roll. Both teams are going to make the playoffs, but a win would keep the Georgetown momentum train churning toward the postseason.
