AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas junior slugger Katie Stewart is an All-American.
Softball America named the Longhorns’ first baseman to its first team as a utility player after she captured Southeastern Conference Player of the Year honors with a monster season — one that will continue in the super regionals against Arizona State, which begins Friday.

It’s the second time she’s been named to a postseason All-America squad. The publication named her a Freshman All-American in 2024. She’s the only Longhorn to be named an All-American by the publication.
Stewart has smashed 27 home runs so far this season, a school record, and she leads the Longhorns in hitting (.444), RBIs (67), slugging percentage (1.062), on-base percentage (.570), total bases (157) and walks (41). She’s also been hit by a pitch five times.
Her 27 homers are fourth in Division I, and she’s sixth in slugging percentage and 10th in on-base percentage.

The Longhorns face the Sun Devils in the opening game of the best-of-3 series at 8 p.m.
