Two new movies about Port Aransas will be shown on Saturday, May 23, at the Port Aransas Community Theatre.
April Guadarrama of San Antonio is the writer, producer and director of the two movies.
Both movies were filmed at various locations in Port Aransas in July 2025.
“Port A” will be shown at 2 p.m., and “Mapache” will premiere at 6 p.m.
Both films are rated G.
There is no charge to see the movies.
“Port A” is about five friends who visit Port Aransas for a weekend, and “Mapache” is about these five friends and a raccoon on the beach.
Mapache is Spanish for raccoon.
