Firefighters extinguished a fire that damaged a unit at The Meridian condominiums at 3021 S. 11th St in Port Aransas on Friday, May 15. A worker was using a torch to get rid of some weeds outside, and a spark reportedly caught a wall on fire, according to an official with the Port Aransas Volunteer Fire Department. No injuries were reported.
