After several days of wet weather, North Texas is forecast to see some sunshine on Friday, but the possibility of storms returns overnight and will linger through the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
The end of the work week for North Texas will bring clouds before they gradually give way to sunshine, lifting temperatures to the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. Overnight temperatures are forecast to drop to 69 degrees.
The region has a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m., when active weather is likely to rumble through parts of the region.
The days leading up to Memorial Day will also bring the possibilities of showers and storms each day. Daytime temperatures are expected to be seasonable with highs in the 80s.
