The Western Conference Finals began with a thriller in double overtime, and continued Wednesday night with a heavily contested Game 2. Now, the series is tied at 1-1, and the action’s headed to San Antonio for Friday night’s Game 3.

How to Watch Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs Game 3

The Thunder and the Spurs will tip off Game 3 at 8:30 p.m. ET Friday, live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, on NBC and streaming simultaneously on Peacock. 

Mike Tirico will call the game for NBC Sports, joined by analysts Reggie Miller and Jamal Crawford and courtside reporters Zora Stephenson and Ashley ShahAhmadi. And be sure to tune in early for NBA Showtime, Peacock‘s exclusive pregame show, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The pregame coverage will begin exclusively on Peacock, then transfer to NBC beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

What to expect from Thunder vs. Spurs Game 3

After long periods of dormancy in Game 1, MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander looked more like his old self in Game 2 Wednesday night, dropping 30 points in a game the Thunder controlled almost from start to finish. Isaiah Hartenstein’s physical play helped restrain a still-productive Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs couldn’t keep their late surge going long enough to stage a comeback victory. 

Ahead of Game 3, both teams face lingering personnel questions. The Thunder lost guard Jalen Williams and the Spurs lost guard Dylan Harper in Game 2, while Stephon Castle committed an outsized number of turnovers that cost the Spurs dearly. That means both teams are shorthanded, but the Spurs may have an ace in the hole in the form of De’Aaron Fox, who could still return to his old spot Friday night. It that happens, the Spurs can protect the ball, they should be well on their way to a home court victory. But we’re also talking about a Thunder team who can turn on championship mode at the drop of a hat, so another thriller is also very possible.
