AUSTIN, TX — Porter Airlines has officially launched new nonstop service between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, marking the carrier’s entry into the Central Texas market and further expanding its North American network.
The year-round route will operate five times weekly and is designed to strengthen connectivity between Toronto and Austin, while also providing travellers in Texas with access to Porter’s broader Canadian network.
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport marked the inaugural departure with a celebratory event on May 21, attended by airport executives, airline representatives, community partners and passengers travelling on the first flight.
“Welcoming Porter Airlines to AUS is an exciting milestone for our airport and the Central Texas region,” said Ghizlane Badawi, Chief Executive Officer of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. “Each new international connection strengthens Austin’s role as a global destination and supports the economic vitality of our community. This service to Toronto provides our passengers with another seamless travel option while also inviting new visitors to discover everything that makes Austin unique.”
